I first saw this bracelet in Accessorize, and if I remember correctly the price was around 300 to 600 which is the normal price range for accessories in Accessorize and if you look at it, it's pretty simple. So here's me bowing down to the popular chinese stereotype of being "thrifty" and making my own version of this bracelet. Originally by Marc Jacobs, I then saw the bracelet on polyvore and shopbop which made me want to have my own one even more. This is a really easy DIY and it will save you a lot of cash as well.

Blanc & IRIE
If you're from Cebu, for sure you've heard of Blanc. It's an online magazine, basically a collision of fashion, arts and culture, from another perspective. Anyway, after a three-month long sabbatical from writing, I started again and contributed to the magazine by writing articles for them, one of which featuring Irie Gastropubliko. These are just some screenshots, the last two are of the articles I wrote. Just click the link below for the full issue!

Edge of Summer
Just a couple of pictures to give a gist of what I've been up to. Photos from Concave Skate Park, Starbucks and I.T. Park, plus, a burger patty I made, the SORTED way *wink* and a strawberry cheesecake. Because I like cheesecake. Also, I went to ArmyNavy and Sprockets but I'll do a separate post for em later. Aaaand I've also been addicted to the new HBO series, Girls (trailer and clips below) Created, written by and stars Lena Dunham who is basically the Tina Fey of my generation. The show has an awesome soundtrack as well, so, plus points!

Weekend Spirit
A peek at my favorite accessories these days and my recent adventures. Photos from last week at Dolce, had a taste of their new milk teasers. Went out for karaoke the other night with some friends and to Chicken and Beer (minus the chicken hahaha) the night after. Plus I can now conclude that when a beer tower is left untouched for 10 minutes, don't bother getting back on that wagon. *My ASOS ear cuff also arrived the other day so, yeyy! Also practically drowned in cotton candy yesterday for mother's day.

The Survival of the Buttercream
Today my friends and I made last-minute plans to hang out and ended up in Talamban. We went to a friend's place and watched Bubble Boy which was my first time to see it, and all they could say was "you've never seen bubble boy??" Hahaha if I ever say the words "500 Dollars" again in my life, I'll never say it the same as I always have. After that, I had a super late lunch/first meal of the day and ate Ngohiong near school which I haven't had at all since summer started.

A wish list, for no apparent reason, of things I'd like to buy if I had money, which I'd like to earn by working, but is immensely disappointing because no one will hire me.

Ear Candy | When George Met Sally
If you liked the movie 'It's Kind of a Funny Story' then you'll love 'The Art of Getting By' but this post is going to be less about the movie, and more on the soundtrack. So first thing's first, I think it's pretty evident that movie plots or stories like this are already starting to be a bit of a cliché for this generation --finding meaning in life, making sacrifices, getting your shit together, two people who start off as friends even though the entire audience knows they're going to end up together at the end, bla bla bla-- the soundtrack made up for it, though. I'm sure a lot can relate to this movie, and along with it, the soundtrack.

Indestructible
So to keep you up to speed on what I've been up to lately, here are some photos of this week so far. Went to Ayala to do some errands with my bestfriend, Stefy, had Krispy Kremes, then went to Rick's place to help him with school stuff, played around with his Diana Lomo and the paper ring he made (yeah, not girly at all) Such a happy day, despite it being Stefy's last before leaving for Holland. Counting the days until she gets back<3 And yesterday, I went to I.T. Park with Ally and Eloi, and I applied for a job! Well, the second time. I'm hoping I get this one. Keeping my fingers crossed! Oh, and also, I had more Krispy Kremes. Teehee.

Ear Candy | Those Dancing Days
I've recently come across this amazing indie band, Those Dancing Days. From a small suburb in Sweden, their music has made it across seas, into speakers and my ever grateful ears. This all-girl band is definitely one of my favorites now ;) . My favorite from them at the moment is "Keep Me In Your Pocket" because of the coincidentally relatable lyrics.

Weekend Wrap Up + Missy BonBon
This weekend was pretty mellow, and I mean reeeaaalllyyyyy mellow! Went to Rick's last saturday night to watch (or at least tried to watch) Mr. Nobody, some episodes of Adventure Time, had lots of pancit canton and brown russians. Then today, my mum got back from Cagayan and brought these yummy pastel buns from Missy Bon Bon, which also comes in these cute boxes.

Some photos from the past month, phone photos that I just remembered existed, and photos that I'm posting up just because. Macarons, Quiche, Carbonara, Croque Monsieur at Macaron Tango Café, night out at I.T. Park, swimming at Casa Rosita, Milk Tea Mochiko, Nirvana milk tea at Bon Appetea, Purple Kush at Handuraw and other random photos.

Born To Die For: Mulberry's Lana Del Rey Bag
"Because you're not truly a 'thing' until you have an accessory named after you."
Musically, Lana Del Rey is a phenomenon. I describe her as a classy posh gangster-- can you imagine? She's hit charts, she's beautiful, her voice and music are not like any other. Mulberry has named a bag after this singing sensation, and will be available for all this May 14th. I love the simplicity of the bags, and I especially love it in blue, but per tonyandlorenzo.com, it seems the design is too simple, to the point of it being generic. In my opinion, Mulberry should have gone with an edgier yet sophisticated bag to name Lana after, because in no way is Lana Del Ray plain. Have you ever heard of Born To Die? Seen the music video? Enough said.
The Oozing Clutch
The clutch that literally oozes! These Christopher Kane (Fall 2011) Aqua gel-filled clutches are just oh so trippy-- clear PVC material with colored gels in pale green, bright red, orange (and other colors) with blue accents and black gunmetal snap buttons. They remind me a lot of childhood pencil cases, down to the snap buttons and the PVC material. I love how they look, plus I think the brighter colors are adorbs for summer but I'd be too scared it might get a hole or a rip, then ooooooze! bye bye colors :(

It's In The Jeans
Feeling creative? Design your own pair of jeans on Getwear! It's an amazing site, exclusively denim and you can have your own pair of jeans made, however you want it! Sizes can be custom made for you, and you can even add designs like rips and paint splatters if you want. And, that's not even the best part. You can design your own pair of jeans, capris, or shorts; plus, pick out what style you want, whether it's flared, skinny, boyfriend, slim, straight, etc.; plus, plus, choose between buttons or zippers, and styles of pockets; plus, plus, plus, choose your own shade of denim; and once you're done, you can even sell your design right on the site! Quadruple plus! Can you say, jean-ius? *Okay, bad pun. Moving on.
Here are a few of my own designs ;)

Creeper Fever
I'm 500 pesos away from buying a pair of creepers! Unless of course I end up spending it all and then I'll just be back where I started. Which is zero. Must. Resist. Buying. Anything. Else! Anyway, I want these babies so bad! Not only are they an eye-catching pair, but they'll make me at least two inches taller ;) So I'm planning on making this week very productive, i.e.: get my driver's permit, worker's permit, a copy of my birth certificate, print up I.D. pictures, print up copies of my resume, pay my school tuition, find a job, and find a place in the city that converts betamax tapes to DVDs. Busy, busy, busy! Also, I got a haircut yesterday and the lady took waaay too much off, but I'm getting used it. Well, I will. Eventually. Hopefully.

One Sweet Adventure
Summer has come and it feels like it's going by so quickly. Must. Make. Every. Day. Count.
The other day, my friends and I had this craving for sweets. Since it's summer, going to Fudge, which is our usual place to get a sugar-fix, seemed too far. And plus, we wanted to try out something new, hence the adventure. We went to Dolce, which is a cafe up in Lahug, a bit farther from The Outpost. It had this all-white modern chic fusion atmosphere which I loved, but it gave this really high-class snob vibe, so braced myself and was well-prepared to spend maybe more than I usually would on cake, but to my relief, the prices weren't as expensive as I thought they were going to be. We ended up ordering a S'mores Cake, a slice of Green Tea Caramel Cake, No Sin Apple Oats shake, Coffee Espresso, and Spinach & Mushroom Quiche. I also brought home a slice of Red Velvet Cheesecake which was the best action my mouth has had since Big Bucks' *which is now no longer being sold :(* Cheesecake. So now, I'm predicting Dolce will become one of my favorite cafe's and sugar fix spots. Can't wait to go back soon!

Productivity
Yesterday was a pretty productive day; I cooked (veggies and tuna & kimchi), gave my dog a bath, read a couple of pages of my pocket book on Fossils, watched the first season of Community, shortened my sidecut, took vain pictures of myself, bleached my bag (doing an ombre project that I'll post up soon *wink) Can all that be considered productive? I have no idea but for the sake of my day, let's just say it is.

Latest Acquisitions
These are just some of my recent purchases and gifts. I haven't really used most of these, but in time, I will! ;)
1) Forever 21 royal blue t-strap moccasins my papa bought for me and I've been using waaaaay too much 2) Parisian black satchel bag-- I can't wait to use the crap out of it! 3) Lucky thrift denim suit jacket that I haven't used yet, since it doesn't feel very summer appropriate; praying for rain just so I can use this bad boy >.< 4) Sleeveless lace button-down dress, another lucky thrift I got for under 100 bucks 5) Downtown find collar necklace 6) Juicy Couture bangle; for a Juicy bangle, the design is really simple but that's why I love it 7) Dreamcatcher/wind chime keychain my best friend brought for me from Enchanted Kingdom

Isabel Marant Sneakers & Today's Thoughts
This morning I'm lusting for a pair of these babies. Isabel Marant high-top sneakers would be perfect for a look that's casual and effortless. Though, I doubt that with the weather in the Philippines, summer or not, these would probably be too hot to wear? It's a theory.
My personal favorite is the brown, pink and orange ones on the photo below.

DIY: Alexander Wang Inspired Bag
So today, the weather was perfect. I woke up around after noon, and it wasn't that sunny; it just finished raining. I decided it was the perfect weather for going on a walk, so I did. I wound up downtown and ended up buying a pack of studs, at the moment I had no idea what to with them but when I got home I thought hey, why don't I make a DIY?

View From The Bottom
And, I'm back! ;) My normal sleeping pattern has finally caught up with me, at last! I've been so doped on cough medicine for the past couple of days, I can't believe it's already been five days since I left San Remigio. So to keep you all up to speed, I was at an Archaeological Field School the past week and I got back last wednesday. I'm going to have to keep this really short since my bed and 4-hour routine prescription of cough syrup isn't letting me stay awake. To wrap this up, I've learned a lot from field school, also got a ridiculous tan which I'm hoping to even out soon.

Recent Foodventures
I'm baaaaaack! And it's finally summer!! I am so excited to catch loads of z's and absolutely looking forward to our excavation (i'm majoring in Archaeology) which in two days! And it'll be for about two-weeks, more or less, so I won't be posting anything in two weeks but as soon as i get back, I am going to put up photos :) So lately I've been to Sumo Sam, Spice Fusion, Á Café and Seattle's Best. Sumo Sam made me wish I had two stomachs. Spice Fusion had the best fruity tea drinks that are so summer proper. Á Café, best Turkey sandwich ever, which I didn't order for myself but it was absolutely delicious. Seattle's Best at the moment has my vote for the best Chai Tea Latte. Also there's this upcoming tea place, near Ayala Center Cebu, called Bon Appetea. I'm not quite sure if they've opened already but it'll probably be very soon, or at least I'm hoping! haha.

Werelse for Mango Touch
I am such a fan of the Werelse group; Andy, Chiara, and Carolina are a stunning team of international fashion bloggers with their own clothing line, Werelse. They are an utterly amazing collision of talent, personality and style, and recently they've teamed up with fashion brand MANGO Touch-- this brand (still part of MANGO) is exclusively dedicated to accessories and footwear. This video basically is to introduce, present, and promote their collaboration with Mango. Aside from the bloggers themselves, the video also stars Spanish actress Rossy de Palma.

You Cook, You Eat, You Pay
These photos are from the other week. We went to Yakiniku Tajimaya at Crossroads for dinner because it was my papa's birthday! Originally, we had planned to go to this taiwanese shabu-shabu place near Ayala, but it was packed when we got there so my parents suggested we go to Yakiniku instead. It was a new experience, having to go to a restaurant and actually cook your own food. Similar to shabu-shabu places, you cook your own food too, but most of it's (shabu-shabu) already half-cooked and all you need is to let it simmer in the broth. At Yakiniku, you grill your own food-- charcoal barquettes, of course. You're probably getting this image in your mind of Larsian, where it's all smokey and foggy hahaha that's what I had originally expected too, but they used charcoal, instead of the usual "uling" which is typically used for bbqs in the Philippines. It took us a couple of orders to get the grilling thing right, so if you, dear reader, plan on going to Yakiniku, here are some tips I've thought of:
Shoe Lust: Tassel Heels!
While I was browsing through google results for fringes & tassels, I came across this photo and I just got so giddy! These black suede boots with tassel covered heels and serrated platforms would absolutely complement themselves, no matter what outfit. Ear Candy | Mark Ronson On Repeat
It's saturday night, I'm staying in, and partying in my head to this.
Mark Ronson's new album, Record Collection, has currently been set on repeat on my iPod for over a week now and I'm still not tired of it. The first time I heard of Mark Ronson was from this Lily Allen song, "Oh My God" which he was featured in, and he was in the video too which was too cute (and yes, I say cute, despite the video being pretty sexy hahaha) because instead of the actual Lily Allen they used a cartoon version of her (and also, the song was on the soundtrack of St. Trinians >.<) So this is Mark Ronson's third album, released late 2010 with fourteen tracks, including "Circuit Breaker" which is an homage to The Legend of Zelda, with a really cool music video; I didn't get it at first though, because I always remembered Link as a blonde.

KONY 2012!
So who's Kony? To answer your question and for you to understand what I'm posting about, watch the video below. It's 30 minutes long, but it was absolutely worth every second. Take the time to watch it, do some research, and do your part by simply sharing the video, spreading the word, Kony 2012 needs to happen! Everyone talks about wanting world peace, well this is the first step to making that happen. Share this poster and video to all you friends. Support Invisible Children, support Kony 2012!

Ring Collection & GIVEAWAY!
If you know me well enough, then you'll also know how obsessed I am with rings! My obsession with them started in high school when we went on a class trip, and one of the stops was CICC (Cebu International Convention Center) and they had this little bazaar at the time, and I spent all of my allowance on rings >.< Since then, I've been buying rings as much as I can hahaha. Rings make me happy really happy :) Here's my collection so far and I'll also be giving away three different rings to three different winners!

Crave More
Went to Ayala the other day, took a couple of pictures and my friend Yuno was showing off his LEGIT necklace from Crave More which I'm totally jealous of. Crave More sells necklaces; simple chain, simple charm, but so much attitude. I'm in love with the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter geek, holla holla) necklace but they're sold out at the moment. I'm hoping to buy one as soon as they get new stocks.
Sweet Little Things
So the other day on my way home, I passed by this Chinese restaurant and right next to it was this little shop that caught my attention, and the next day, I brought my friends with me and we went after school. Sweet Little Things is this little pastry shop, and they specialize in cupcakes! (Hahaha this is probably the ummteenth post I've had about cupcakes) We ordered Cinful Apple, Red Velvet, and my favorite, Lemon Poppyseed-- just the right amount of zest balanced out with buttery icing, so yummy, it was like my heart melted. Also bought home a Blueberry Crumble and Cookies & Cream for my mum and sissy :) *Aaaand the coffee they serve is from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf*

Shoe Envy!
So I've grouped and thinned down my top shoe picks for this week into three brands, namely Steve Madden, Dolce Vita and Chloè. I'd have to say that the shoes that's at the very top of my covet list is 'Jemma' (black suede ankle-cut boots, bottom left) from Dolce Vita; it's absolutely heartbreaking ;( I also love the Steve Maddens I picked out because they're very tribal-- summer sun, shorts, sunnies and those heels, oh I can see it now! I'm getting giddy just imagining them on *eeeep* and lastly, the Chloè studded leather boots are so slick and to die for~

Five-Nation Foodpocalypse
Had so much food over the weekend-- and these were only from Saturday! My papa, sister, and her boyf picked me up from class and we went to Joed's Lutong Hapon for lunch. Awesome japanese food (but they had Kimchi on the menu, which I'm pretty sure is Korean >.<) at an awesome price. We ordered so much for four people, we were so stuffed after and the bill didn't even make it to a thousand pesos. Sulit ;) For dessert, we went to Macaron Tango Café and chilled for a while, before going home. I had a Mango/Vanilla Macaron; the color's very tweety-birdish ;) I usually get my macarons at Vanille, so when we got to the café, I felt very nostalgic about my first macaron, which I bought there about one or two summers ago. I'm definitely going back for more *wink And! they also had these necklaces with macarons as pendants-- so adorable! We also ordered Canelés de Bordeaux; the chef, Remi Lastere, who was very friendly I might add, came up to our table, and shared to us that Canelés were his specialty. My papa even wants to go back for more :)) For dinner, Ally and I went to our friend's 18th Debut Party, which was absolutely last minute, and we didn't expect it to be so fancy *we felt so under-dressed :( Had lots of Lengua and Paella; personal favorite combo. Explored Casino Español a bit, then went to I.T. Park afterwards with John. We had originally planned to go to La Marea, but of course, since it was a saturday, it was full. So plan b, McDonald's! Had coke floats, fries, made fun of John's forehead *and our friend Carlo came by too. It was such a fun day, I'm having high hopes for this weekend! ;)

Deliciousness In A Box
My dad got back from Manila (again) last night and brought Cinnabons! Yummmm. I've been munching on the cinnamonic (what?) deliciousness all dawn with so much coffee on the side, but I've finally finished my presentation for class later :D
Pluuuus, it's saturday and there's so many options on what to do and where to go; Thirsty Cup at school, Eloisa's Rugby game at CIS, crash Stefy's Phys Ed class at the Bowlingplex, or stay home and cuddle with Chilli. It's saturday, who wouldn't want to go out? Though I think the universe will most probably lead me home and tell me to stay in. *Okay universe, if you say so.

Guitar World? More Like Guitar Heaven
Happy TGIF! So it's friday, and the weekend is coming up (duh) and I absolutely cannot wait to catch up on some sleepy time. It's been one hell of a week, but as I had hoped, not all of it was bad ;) We went to Guitar World! (And by we, I mean my friends >.<) It's near our University, and I pass by it all the time, to and from school. *Okay so a little background for most of you who don't know, I had guitar lessons when I was in the sixth grade, and I stopped right around freshman year of high school. I stopped because I realized that while lessons were really helpful, for some reason I felt I could just learn on my own. God knows what made me think that. Sadly, my guitar skills aren't as great as I had hoped, but I still like to play sometimes. Not to brag, but I'm a fairly decent musician (oh wow as if there's anything to brag about)
Anyway, we checked out the store and I felt like I had gone to the gates of heaven. Not heaven heaven, just the gates. When the time comes that I'll be able to afford my Les Paul dream, then, I'll be in heaven. *I sound so cheezy making heaven metaphors. It's not cute or attractive at all. I asked the guy at the desk if I could take pictures, so as usual, I went crazy, and to top it all off, I was bringing my macro lens with me. I browsed through the acoustic guitars and holy crap they weren't as expensive as I had imagined them to be in my mind. The cheapest one didn't even reach P 2,000 and it looked pretty slick too. My acoustic guitar, Apollo, cost around P 3,000. I've had him since high school and he's a beauty; until I painted him and now he looks like unicorn trash, but still sounds very sexy ;)

When In Doubt, Have Some Mint
Happy Wednesday! So I'm going to be trying something new for my blog, which I hope will catch on and I'll continue to do: When In Doubt Wednesdays. Basically, it's just that the title for my posts on Wednesdays will start off with "When In Doubt," and then continue it with something which relates to the post. I got the idea when I read this quote by Bill Blass, which says "When In Doubt, Wear Red."
Had class all day; Economics exam was a bust, but I finished my Anthropology report! :) Went to Brown Cup this afternoon with Ricky after class for comfort food, but decided to skip the extra calories (haha) of a blueberry cheesecake and had a Mint Chip Frappe instead, well enough for a warm afternoon. *Also, if I had a peso for every inappropriate touch I've felt while riding a jeepney, I'd be damn rich.
And today's theme song is Ten-Twenty-Ten by Generationals (video below)

Like A Sir: Sun-Staches
G'evenin' to you, smexy reader ;) So I stumbled upon these Sunglasses with mustaches hung from chains, and I do declare they certainly make me feel, like a sir. I haven't actually bought one of these sunnies, but if fate would hand me a pair in some supernatural way, I wouldn't mind a bit. They even come in different mustache styles, as you can see from above. They are of high-quality, and 100% UV400 protection. Plus, more colors! I just posted these black and white ones, because they seemed the most legit, the others seemed too party-ish, in my opinion; but then again, that's pretty much what they're for. I think if I had a pair on, I would feel like Francois from Youth In Revolt-- so. bad. ass.
Pastry Monday
Happy Tots Tuesday! My friends and I went to Fudge yesterday after school for our proposed new tradition: Pastry Monday, previously Flame It Monday, but pastries seem to be more of our thing than burgers ;) This is my third cupcake post this week! Fist bump for cupcake binges. Hell yeah. So all the girls had cupcakes, and Rick had a cheesecake (because he's such a badass) If you've read my Giant Macaron post, we had the same cupcakes then but the ones we had yesterday were Valentine-themed! And speaking of more cupcakes, my friends and I are planning on making some and sell them on Valentine's. Can't wait for our baking party :))

United Nude Shoe Picks
Happy monday everyone! I'm home early from class because of the earthquake this morning; I got so dizzy! :( But back business: Okay, so I came across United Nude and their amazing collection of shoes. I honestly have never seen any other shoe with the same style as these, I mean look at them, they are so slick and the shapes and tones all compliment and perfect each other.

The Day We Murdered Cupcakes
Last Friday, my dad brought Cupcakes by Sonja from Manila. The icing was a bit melted already though but they still tasted so yummy! My sister went to Manila recently and kept raving about how delicious they were, but that she didn't have time to buy more and bring some; just our luck my dad also went to Manila a day or two after my sister got back so he brought a box of six cupcakes when he got back. It was like a murder scene in the box as soon as we opened it >.< *Makes me sad that they're only in Manila, though :(

Out Of This World: Dawntroversial Shoes
I've met my match<3 I want to marry these babies so bad, and they look soooooo good I kinda wanna lick 'em and just snuggle up with them when I go to bed. I'm not even that comfortable with wearing heels but if they looked like these, I wouldn't mind at all. These are Dawntroversial Shoes, hand painted and customized by Glaswegian designer, Dawn Smith. Her signature styles are galactic, and all in all, out of this world. Other than these spacey wedges, some of her other designs are doused in glitter, and studs. She customizes sneakers and boots too!

PossibiliTeas
Finally, a new post! :D So an update for the other day, my friends and I went to Cobo! And obviously from the photo above, Cobo has some awesome possibiliTeas, and yes, they were indeed awesome.
I honestly thought it was really unique, I mean I kind of expected it to be like Bubble Bee, or Quickly, or Zagu (sorry if you're not from Cebu and couldn't relate to any of that teehee), but Cobo had that youthful and cartoony twist which is pretty much what made it, well, awesome. Plus, not mention their insane variety of teas! It took me so long to choose what kind to get because they had so many intriguing flavors. They had a set of milk teas, teas with floating sea salt, and bubble burst teas. I ordered a mango peach bubble burstea as soon as the lady was finished explaining to me. Bubble burst teas were fruit teas, with juice balls; the balls looked like sago, but when you bite into it, juice would burst out! Cobo's an awesome place to hang out, and prices aren't that bad either ;) Haha and I also sort of interviewed the lady at the counter and learned two things: Cobo is from Taiwan, and Milk Teas are their best-sellers >.<
